Advanced Cavitation Cleaning

Our advanced cavitation cleaning technology uses high frequency microbubbles to remove marine growth, fouling and contaminants from hulls and underwater structures without causing damage to coatings or metal surfaces. This non invasive method improves vessel efficiency, reduces fuel consumption and extends service life — all while being environmentally safe and highly effective in even the most challenging marine conditions.

Cavitation Cleaning Techniques

Different configurations are used depending on project requirements:

  • Diver held cavitation tools for precision work on propellers and sea chests
  • ROV mounted units for remote cleaning in deep or hazardous locations
  • Portable cavitation systems for flexible on site deployment
  • High flow cavitation nozzles for large area cleaning such as hulls and seawalls

Cavitation Cleaning

1. How Cavitation Removes Fouling

The cleaning process relies on two key mechanisms:

  • Micro jet impact occurs when collapsing bubbles produce strong micro jets that dislodge marine growth.
  • Shockwave cleaning happens when imploding bubbles create localized shockwaves that break debris free from the coating interface.

2. Cavitation Cleaning Systems

A complete cavitation jet cleaning system typically includes:

  • Pump units to generate stable flow and pressure
  • Cavitation nozzles designed for optimal bubble formation
  • Diver or ROV tools for precise underwater application
  • Process control devices to maintain consistent cleaning
  • Waste handling arrangements for managing removed biofouling
  • Optional remote monitoring for real time inspection during cleaning
